Where's my period?

A few days before my period was supposed to start I was "with" my boyfriend and I started bleeding and then blead a bit for a few days.
Now it is the placebo week of the pill and I havent gotten a period. 
I have had unprotected sex in the last month but he didn't cum inside me... should I take a pregnancy test?

Answer

Yes, you should take a pregnancy test any time you have unprotected sex. hCG won't be detectable until at least two or three weeks after sex, so don't take the test too early. I would wait until at least three weeks  after having sex to take it. If it's negative, take another one after 4 weeks to make sure. Remember, there are a lot of reasons for periods to be late besides pregnancy. But if you don't want to get pregnant, it's a good idea to use contraception because withdrawal doesn't always work unfortunately
