CM question! Please help!

Please respond if you know anything about cervical mucus or discharge and what it's supposed to look like pre period vs early pregnancy. I thought your CM was supposed to get drier after ovulation. But mine is white and looks like lotion. There's no smell, no burning or itching. Could something be wrong with me or has anyone experienced this after conception, or heard of this happening?
