Older moms 40+

Is having a child late in life unfair to the kid? Examples: being in your 60's when they go off to college or finish. Your child being put in a position to care for you ( illness or old age) when they are in their early 30's? Not having the stamina to keep up with a young one in your 50's. My mom is 54 and my sister is 12. I feel like it's a lot on my mom.
