cramps

I got my IUD put in March 2nd and since then my periods have been all jacked up. Which I expected so that's not a big deal. I really didn't expect my cramps to be this bad. It's so bad to the point where it's very difficult to even function. Granted my pain tolerance is not the best, I'm kinda a wimp. But what are some good ways to help ease the pain? I've taken ibuprofen and midol and those didn't seem to help. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
