Preparing older sibling for hospital?

How did you prepare baby's older sibling(s) to come visit at the hospital? My daughter will be 5 and I am having another c-section, so I was thinking about doing a hospital tour with her and daddy to help prepare her, and ourselves since it has been so long! I have a big sister kit I am preparing for her too! What are you planning or have done?

Check your local hospitals as some have Big Sister/Brother class (3-7 is usually the ages).... they are helpful for siblings and a lot of fun.

We have dad stay at home during the night so older kids lives aren't as affected. Our new baby always brings older siblings a gift for the first meeting (baby 5 bought microwave popcorn, m&m and a DVD so we could have a movie party at hospital) but think of something that will entertain older child so that the visit can last longer. Hospitals are weird and boring to older kids and the novelty of baby will wear off fast so be creative!  (Baby 3 brought brio trains for his older brothers, baby 4 bought pirate dress ups.) now that my kids are older baby six is prob going to just bring snacks and order dinner as my teenager will be driving his siblings to hospital to visit!

What did you put into the big sister kit? I'm having my son next month my days 5 as well and I don't know how she is going to react.  She seems excited but she's been the only child for so long IDK how she will act.
