GERD during pregnancy?

I think I have this...I have heartburn every night and I take tums for it. But some nifhts(has happened twice) I wake myself up coughing and throwing up in my mouth. Every time I lay down it happens.then my throat will be burning so bad from that. I tried another pillow to raise my head up!! Any ideas? I'm 30 weeks today!! It kept me up all night last night

I get it every pregnancy. My doctor had told me it's fine to take Prilosec, which is the only thing that mildly works for me. Talk to your ob, see what's recommended

Do not eat 2 hours before bed. Eat only whole foods every 2 to 3 hours in smack amounts which helps your body digest better. Drink plenty of water. Try papaya enzyme supplement...
You can also talk to your ob.

Using another pillow to elevate your head and upper body helps as well.

I took omeprazole prior to pregnancy and am planning to take it through this pregnant. It truly makes a difference! Speak with your dr and confirm that it's okay for you.
