HELP! birth control problems?

Okay, so I just started birth control last month I'm in the third week of my second month of taking it, I just ended my period on the 8th and it wasn't supposed to start for another two weeks but yesterday I started having cramps and started to bleed pretty heavily. I also just stopped ovulating yesterday. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be happening or is it just my birth control trying to regulate everything?
