Propose or not to propose

My boyfriend and I have together for almost a year now an I know he's the one and he's mention to me that he's not going anywhere that I'm stuck with him... I wanted to propose to him on our 1 year anniversary but o don't know if should or if should wait I him ( which could be sometime in the next decade or two knowing him) what do you think should I wait or go ahead and do it???
