Does alcohol and weed affect sperm?

Im ttc and my husband smokes weed every day, he also drinks but maybe once or twice a week. I don't smoke and I never did but I do drink alcohol once in a while. Does this affect his sperm count? Does it make it weaker? I sometimes tell him that it does but he doesn't believe me. He told me If he had some proof then he would stop.
