Birth Control for Smokers

I'm 18 and smoke cigs and weed regulatory and have been seeing a lot of warnings on birth control for smokers, having an increased risk of heart and blood problems such as clots that could lead to heart attacks, etc. What is the best birth control for a daily smoker with the least risks or side effects? What do you guys use and do you see any side effects? I'm currently on the end of year 2 of the Nexplanon implant and have only had weight gain as a negative side effect.
