FET: What does "a month off" mean?

Question

I had ER yesterday and because I had 21 eggs collected, they had to do a freeze all. 
I can't, though, get to the bottom of what "we give your body a month off" means.
I've started provera today to induce a bleed, but does it mean when I start bleeding in 2 weeks I can then start the prep for FET then and have the transfer in June OR does it mean i will have to wait until the next period comes and have the transfer in July?

Same happened with my wife and I. They retrieved 26 eggs and she had severe OHSS. Told us to take a month (menstrual cycle) off from meds to let her body heal and then we would regroup. This was last year. Happened in early January, we ended up having a FET early march. Rest up and good luck!! I know the waits to hard but it will all be worth it to have a healthy body to have this embryos transferred into! Alohas!

Hey Gem, they just mean to give your body time to get back to normal & have a normal bleed. I had ER in march & had 27 eggs retrieved which then resulted in OHSS and a 2 day hospital stay. As soon as I had my af 2 weeks later the symptoms all disappeared but had to wait for a full cycle unassisted of medicines before we could start the FET process. My ET is tomorrow, feels like it's been such a long wait but I was in no position to have it done with OHSS too. Honestly it will fly by, have everything crossed for you that you get your BFP very soon x

I had to have two bleeds. I bled about a week after egg retrieval, then went on birth control for three weeks, then started Lupron, then went off birth control and bled again before starting the rest of my FET protocol. All in all it was about 8 weeks between my egg retrieval and my transfer. I also had to have laparoscopic tube surgery during that time though so maybe yours will be shorter!
