He keeps saying he LIKES me, why?

This guy and I met about a week ago in the club. And surprisingly we have hit it off, we've seen each other every day. He doesn't live here, he's here for the summer and goes to school 3 hours away which isn't bad at all. At random times, he says "Lindsey..(pause) I like you" like it's cute, but... the way he says it is in a I love you type of way... idk. Am I overthinking?
