Does your hospital allow you to video/photo during labor/delivery?

I want to record my birth. I have barely anything from my first 2 children but my hospital/doctor said absolutely not which I think is a crock of 💩 . Due to babies hippaa laws? Like what?

My hospital allows photos with doctors permission but they said if it's during a procedure like c-section its likely a no.  Not for hipaa, that's not what hipaa is for I work in health care.

They said pics/videos are fine until it's time to push. Then no filming/pics

That babies hippa law thing is just an excuse, labor is photographed all over the country and you're the parents so you have a right to video your child. Now if you were asking the doc to make the video it would be a violation, but he's just straight up lying on his reasoning ...
