AFI at 37 weeks !!

What is ur AFI range during 37th week? Today I went for checkup and my doctor has mentioned in report that my AFI is 12.4cm and she told me that my baby would be a big baby. Is there any relation between AFI and baby size during 9th month of pregnancy?
