monster after vaccinations?

Hey! My one year old got his most recent immunizations 10 days ago. Today he has been acting very out of character. Screaming like a banshee and running a low grade fever. He also has a rash on his chest. Anyone experience similar? How long did it last???

Thanks for the comments! My son was acting much more himself yesterday and the rash is going away. Looks like everything is fine. There's some scary stuff out there if you google "bad reaction to vaccines." :)

My son had a 103 temp after his 1 year shots. You can give Motrin and Tylenol to help lower it but I don't know what to tell you about the rash.

Yup that sounds like a typical reaction to vaccines

Lol... not sure the monster part is every kid's reaction, but our doctor told us to expect about a 2 week delayed reaction to the MMR vaccine, and that it could include a fever and a rash that looked like one associated with those illnesses. She said as long as LO isn't acting like she's sick (lethargic, no interest in playing or eating, that kind of thing) not to worry about it.
