Should I get a tubal ligation or husband get snipped?

I'm 5 weeks pregnant with baby #3. We are done after this little person is born. I've heard horrific stories about menstrual cycles post tubal. Any input is appreciated.

We are opting for him to get a vasectomy. The healing period is basically non existent compared to a tubal. Plus it's easier to reverse if you ever decide to do it.

Also, if all goes to plan, I will have given birth to and nursed three babies. The very least ha can do is get a vasectomy and save me even more pain.

A vasectomy is only like $500 and is way less invasive that tubal ligation. My man will get snipped before I even think about going into surgery

We're the same as many others. It's major surgery to have a tubal ligation, and, at best, an outpatient procedure for the vasectomy. My husband is not willing to put me through another major surgery  (I've been through 6 in the past 2 years) when it is simpler and safer for him to get snipped.

I wouldn't do either. After my parents had me and my brother, my mom decided it was best for my dad to get snipped. There is no guarantee that marriage lasts forever. I got a sister from my mother's second marriage and my dad's girlfriend left him because she wanted a child. My cousin married a man who was snipped. They reversed it and her lovely little boy was born with only a thumb on his one hand.

I opted for essure. Permanent birth control for women, had it done in my docs office in less than an hour, almost no recovery time although I scheduled a couple of days off work just in case and covered by insurance. My out of pocket cost was about 30 dollars. My periods are worse now but it's a small price to pay not to have to take pills for the next 20 years.

My Ma is snipped. She said that there wasn't a change in her periods, but her flow was always heavy. My husband is somewhat willing to get snipped though he's scared of surgery. As we aren't even TTC #1 yet, it's not that important for us to discuss... I'm willing to get fixed, but would like to save some eggs "just in-case" so that might be a bit more pricy than just having my husband cut and to save some of his swimmers.
