Do you feel like rape is "overused"?

I feel like lately this subject has been so easy to talk about and the girl often tries to blame the guy and calls it rape because she regrets doing it or whatever other reason 😒 idk I'm just mad at how easy this term has been used in the last few months in scenarios where it's freaking clear that they were NOT raped. Is it just me?

I feel like the term might be under a reconstruction as far as exactly what it means. People seem to use it interchangeably with sexual assault, which is not in fact the same thing. 
All rape is sexual assault but not all sexual assault is rape.
So in THAT sense I feel it does get misused and sometimes "overused". But like I said, the word could just be in a transition phase.

A lot of women feel ashamed or embarrassed after being raped they don't want to go through with prosecution. Overused? Ridiculous

I agree that some women or girls are on educated on the differences between rape and sexual assault. But I fear that singing rape is overused, only brings the stigma that women shouldn't talk about their experiences or a question whether they were raped or sexually assaulted. I know that some cases have made the news about false reports, and that is horrible and nothing that you should lie about. But, as someone said in the comments, I think people who do that have a mental issue, to save themselves from punishment or scrutiny, & things like that. We just can't dismiss someone saying they were raped bc we don't agree with their interpretation of the situation.

No I do not think that it is overused. I just think that some situations occur and a lot of girls/women are confused (especially teen girls) as to how things happened and if it would be classified as rape, sometimes things happen so fast or you do like the guy and he takes advantage and that kinda tricks your brain into believing it wasn't rape because you liked him so much etc but you just know something isn't right, it puts you in an awkward position/situation but no I don't think rape is overused.

Because chances are if a girl is saying she was raped, she was raped.
