It would depend honestly. I'd prefer my child not be on the inside of a prison in any way shape or form.

If they were locked up for hurting the child or myself or a loved one then no. It would really depend.

It depends on the circumstances. Why is he locked up? How long is he locked up for? Was he a good father prior to being incarcerated? Is he generally a criminal or is it an isolated incident?

Yes. People behind bars are still people with hearts. If it was their father, I definitely would want them to visit.

I would. My best friend is in prison right now. He was arrested when his girlfriend was a few months pregnant. Even though they broke up, she still allows their daughter, who is now two, to go and visit him. I think it's great. He gets out soon and now that he's out, he won't be a stranger to his own child. Sure it's not the ideal place for a father and his child to gather and spend time together, but I think it's really important for a child to know their father still loves them and cares about them. If the father is making the effort to stay in contact with his child, that's great. My boyfriend was in prison just two months ago and if he didn't get released, I would have taken our son to visit him.

Yes. No matter what they did.
It is not my job to punish and in doing so it will hurt both parties. The child can decide in the end because it is 100% their choice. Not mine.
