Does the dilation check up hurts?

Heard from a few ladies that going through labor is easier than getting ur cervix checked how dilated it is 😂

I got mine checked for the first time yesterday. I'll be 38 weeks Friday and it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just a lot of pressure. I also have a pretty high pain tolerance. I cramped a little afterward but today I'm fine. No bleeding or spotting either. I was 1cm and 50% thinned which is nothing!

First time wasn't so bad, a bit uncomfortable, today I was checked again and it hurt a little and I spotted afterward freaked me out :/

Wow, I'm surprised to read it hurt so many of you. I've had mine checked several times now and it doesn't hurt at all. Some pressure and 30s later it's over.

I'm not getting it unless necessary. It always hurt for me but it really depends on where everything is they're looking for. Lol they always had issues finding my cervix..etc

Wit my son omg it hurt it felt like the dr put her whole fist up there....but I just got checked yesterday wit #2 and it didn't just a tiny bit uncomfortable.  It depends on the dr I think

I actually have a pessurie in which is to keep you closed so they had to check my dilation and put it up there manually and it was just really uncomfy didn't feel pleasant
