why am still on my periods 3weeks into taking Birth control?

So I started the pill 3weeks ago on my period & it still hasnt ended like its not a regular flow its like very light but its been going on for 3weeks now😰

I started the shot 4 months ago, I haven't stopped bleeding since. it's light and manageable, just annoying to always need a pad or tampon. You could switch birth control, but I think it's just your body getting used to it... that's what plan parenthood told me anyways

When I started the birth control shot my period lasted for 6 weeks alternating between a heavy and light flow the doctors told me that when you first start bc it's normal for up to 3 months or to just not even have a period
