How long did it take you to conceive baby #1?

I know they say that it takes a lot longer to get pregnant with baby #1, but I was curious how long... All I found online was how long it takes on average for any pregnancy. I'm on TTC cycle #5, and I am feeling discouraged. I am ovulating... I know that...

I'm on the older side (34) and got pregnant the same month I took my IUD (Paraguard) out. This will be my first if everything works out.  It was kindof a shock that it happened so quickly, but I think it has something to do with the fact that my IUD was nonhormonal, so my cycle was already regular when the IUD came out.  The statistics for woman my age is something like 65% get pregnant in the first year of trying.

38 months exactly for our first; 5 months for our second!

I just don't get why it's so hard for me to get pregnant... I am healthy, my husband is healthy.. I'm ovulating, charting, using opk's, I just don't get it. This is month #5 and I'm not feeling many symptoms.

Took us just shy of 3 weeks. I had taken my IUD out and just had sex daily and boom that was it! I didn't know when my cycle was or anything.

I conceived #1 two weeks after our wedding, wasn't planned. Both he and #2 were the result of the only two times ever we didn't follow through with pull-out. #3 took 17 months and 4 losses to finally stick. It's funny how easy it is to conceive while preventing, but so difficult once we actually started trying!

It took me 19 months. I think it too that long because I would schedule sex and it started to become a chore for us.
I'm now 38+1 with a boy. I hope he comes soon because I'm so miserable and in pain!!
