missed pill resulting in period?

I've been taking the pill for about 5 months and haven't had any issues. I take it at 10am everyday and last Saturday I spaced and didn't remember until the evening. Monday I started spotting and it's increased a little since then. Today is Friday and I'm still having a light period with almost steady but faint cramps. Is this normal with a single missed pill? It's about another 2 weeks until my regular period. Not sure if I should be worried or not.
