hunger before period

My period is about a week late (Ik I'm not pregnant virgin). I am absolutely starving. I never have had a big appetite and now I am eating every hour for the last week. I try to pick healthier things but sometimes I just want to feel full. Has anyone ever experienced this? I typically eat hungry but this is starvation.
