More nervous about the second baby/delivery?

Hi there!

I have a beautiful son who is 18 months, that I am so in love with. His labor was not easy, in fact it was the hardest thing I have ever done. He was also not so easy as a baby, either. Maybe colic? I guess? I Am less than a week from my due date, and I hate to say it but I feel so much more nervous about this, the second time around! Anyone else in the same boat? Everyone keeps saying "you've got this because you have done this before!"

I'm super excited to be in labor again but terrified of the Fourth Trimester. If this baby is like my daughter idk how I'll make it through the beginning while taking care of a toddler.

My first was amazingly easy. So YES! I'm terrified that it won't be easy this time. Plus my husbands other kids to his previous wife had big heads. Lol.

Probably because you know what's coming 🙈 I had a bad birth with my first and I was super scared for my second but every birth is different and my second birth was so much better! Try not to think about what happened before hopefully this time will be better for you 🤞🏼🍀

i was the opposite of you labour wise (sorry if it sounds like i'm trying to rub it in i'm not)👀
but anyway i'm due the very end of august with a boy and all his family keep saying that our sons going to be over 9lb (my husband and his 2 brothers were all above 9lb 3oz) and i was told when i delivered my daughter that i have a narrow pelvis so i'm terrified of having to have a section& like yourself sick of having people say 'you've done it before etc'

I had a pretty tough labor with my first 14 hours of pitocin induced back labor and 2 hours of pushing. She also struggled with weight gain and jaundice for about a month and a half. 
I wasnt really afraid of labor because there's no way around it but i was very anxious! But i figured that at least i knew what to expect and i could prepare myself for it. Once labor hit, it was completely different! 4 and a half hours of labor and less than 5 mins of pushing. My son is also completely different than my daughter. I couldnt get her to sleep in her own bed until 7 months and even now i have to lay in the bed next to her crib until she falls asleep. My son on the other had has slept in his crib since day one and is very easy going vs his high maintenance sister. 
My kids are 10 months apart, i currently have a 14 month old and a 4 month old. Its tough but doable and sometimes even fun! 😉
