Birth control patch or pill? Which have you had less side effects with?

My husband and I have been TTC for our 3rd for 11 months now. Come to find out I have ovarian cysts that are preventing me from getting pregnant. They want to put me on bc for 12 weeks and they think the cysts will go away... I just hate the idea of using it when it seems to be the opposite of what we are trying for! If I decide to do it, Which have you ladies found to have less side effects? The pill or the patch?
