Can he get into trouble for saying this?

Question

My dad needed some time off from work last month because I tried killing myself, and he wanted to come and look after me in the hospital. 
My dad told his boss this, obviously to get some time off. 
But my dad went out with his friend, who he works with, and they share the same boss. 
My dads friend said to him "our boss came up to me yesterday, and asked if I knew that your daughter was ill & did you know she tried killing her self?"

My dad is livid, as am I, they work in a school, which is local to where I live. 
I now keep getting people - WHO I DONT EVEN KNOW, asking if I'm "better" or if I'm okay.

I know they mean well but it's pissed me right off.

Surely my dads boss shouldn't have said anything to anyone else, my dad said he told him in confidence & that he's going to swing for him when he nexts see him - but there must be a legal way in which he can get into trouble? So my dad doesn't loose his job?

I don't want the whole of where I'm living to know about my challenges 😩😭

If your dad physically assaults someone, yes your dad can get in trouble. But unfortunately there is nothing against the boss talking about your life. At least not legally.

It'd be a hard case but unless they're was some confidentially agreement you can't really take any legal action. The most you can do is complain to whoevers above your dads boss.

Sorry girl, I really wish they're was something though. You must be going through a very hard time rn and the last thing want is people talking about your private life. TBH i kinda want to punch him in the face for gossiping about it as well.
