My 7 month old felt really warm this morning at 9 am i took his temperature it was 101.9 it's now almost 4 and his temperature spiked up to 102.8 I keep getting mixed answers on wats considered a fever in a 7 month old..
I also gave him Motrin at 9 am

At 4pm it's about time that the Motrin has worn off and you can give it again. I would keep him medicated at home and see if it comes down. If it doesn't drop about an hour after medicine then call and give his pediatrician a heads up. You can also give Tylenol and Motrin at the same time initially and that will help too

102 definitely warrants calling his pediatrician. If he's 102 and medicine isn't bringing it down, they're going to want to see him.
