39 1/2 week scheduled induction
I'm due June 18th with my second child. My son will be seven in July. I had my 37 week appointment today. I have had a virtually symptom free pregnancy up until a couple weeks ago when the third trimester woes started to sink in. The usual back pain swelling sciatica hip pain heartburn etc... Over the past weekend I developed carpal tunnel in both of my wrists and can no longer fully close my hands (that sucks!). So I had my appointment today and my doc said she would check me next week at 38 weeks and if all looked good (no progress) , she'd schedule my induction for the 13th... has anyone had a scheduled induction before their due date? Specifically for normal pregnancies. I wasn't expecting her to say that at all! I was induced with my son but they were concerned about low birth weight. I was wondering what it was going to be like to go into labor (which I still could I could also refuse if I want I'm sure) but its actual a huge relief to know an end point!
