induced experiences?

Question

I may need to get induced due to having GD can anyone share their experiences of being induced with me?

I'm not scared of labour or anything, I'm scared of not knowing what's going on.

So hearing others experiences will help me out

I had a good experience, actually I would say my labor where I was induced was easier than the one I had and went natural with my son! Only becuase I got the epidural sooner lol... but yeah I was induced ten days overdue with her got the epidural soon after the contractions started..... progressed just fine I think my labor was 7/8 hours... didn't feel a thing she came with under 20 min of pushing! 😊

I had the worst induction. I had a doctors apt on a Thursday morning and got sent to the hospital because of preeclampsia and a very high blood pressure. They got my blood pressure under control and gave me a tablet (I can't remember what it was for or called) then on Friday morning around 5am I was started on  Pitocin, I couldn't get out of bed, couldn't walk, couldn't eat or drink. This was until 5pm the same day. No dilation or thinning happened. They gave me a unisom that night because I was very nervous and anxious so I could rest. That Saturday at 5:30am they started my second round of pitocin and I think potassium (could be wrong, everything was a blur) which was causing me excruciating pain in my hand and arm since they put it thru my IV. The unisom had me in and out of sleep and very groggy ALL day, around 5pm they decided to stop the pitocin because I wasnt progressing AT ALL (mind you I've been having intense contractions for 12 hours for the last two days) I was told I had a failed induction and that I could choose to have my c-section that night or early the next morning. I broke down crying and fussing at my doctor because I was so mad at myself for not being able to do what my body was meant to do. I chose that night because I couldn't stand to be without our son any longer. Honestly, I didn't like the way it went at the time, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I'm now 20 weeks with out second and went to a new doctor and have been offered to do vbac if I don't develop preeclampsia or high blood pressure again. Good luck to you!!!
