Is this normal?

Hey! So to make the story shirt, I'm between 6 weeks and something days to 7 weeks and something days along, for the past week now, I've had brown bleeding, first it was like brown discharge, then it turned basically into what looked like a brown period, and now its kind of a mix between the two, I have to wear pads because it coats them since it is now constant instead of the original off and on. Today its been constant, heavy off and on, and there's been several goopy little clots. I had an ultrasound last Thursday and they said there was no blood in my uterus and that the baby looked okay. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? This is my first actual pregnancy and I have no idea.
