When I was actively trying with the help of my doctor, I was told to call and let them know as soon as I got a positive test. I never ended up getting one, so I don't know exactly how first appointments should go, but I would recommend going ahead and calling your doctor and they will definitely be able to help you sort out your visits and make sure you're taken care of with prenatal vitamins etc.

Call a prenatal doctor you trust they will get you in for blood test and possibly a sonogram but yeah go right away!
