How can I make friends?

I recently graduated from college and have never had a lot of friends. I have always been pretty shy and more introverted, however, I love meeting new people and I know the treat others well. Lately I've been feeling a little lonely and wish I had a few close ones to hang out with and talk to. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Join a gym, take classes (like painting or something fun), volunteering, coaching a kids sport, andything that gets you into the community will help you make friends...

Basically what other people said: joins club, take a class, get on a committee, look for group putting like hikes or other volunteer things. Then you'll have something automatically in common. Most of my friends are either from work or friends of friends that moved into town and we were introduced. It is hard as you get older, so don't be afraid of asking ppl for numbers and to hang out. I've lost touch with my old friends bc of change in life paths, etc...

Singles and couples groups in your local area. I'm in a mommy and me group it's fun but hard to put yourself self out there. I meet at a park and go on walks with my daughter every other Friday with a member with her daughter it's something different. Good conversation and there's always something to do if you want to. The app is Meetup hopefully you find something your interested in. 😁👍
