Have you used a bug repellent wristband?

Did it seem to work for you? Is there some other sort of non-spray bug repellent (specifically mosquito) that works for you?
Not essential oils please! They don't do well on my skin.

If you're just looking for something to help control mosquitoes in a small area you could try a Thermocell. I got one off Amazon. I know people who took them fishing or camping and I figured it would work for our outings too. I bought a carrying case for it as well to make it easier to attach to bags. Nothing touches your skin. We've found them to be effective.

My kids have the wristbands for when they're at the day care bc they say they spray them, but I can't be sure and my kids bug bites swell really bad.... they smell very potent so they take them in a ziplock bag and put them on when they go outside. They seem to work ok. We do also use the Johnson and Johnson baby creamy oil and that helps to keep the bugs away too. Not what it was intended for, but it works! And it smells really good. Lol
