got an appointment today to see a consultant at the hospital I know I'm high risk but at 16 weeks ? seems too early and there's no 16 week appointment on my card , the monitoring is meant to start at some point past 20 weeks because of early labour problems and growth problems and placental problems so they said they'd be monitoring me once they start to check growth and such but why the 16 weeks appointment ? anyone else ? I had my nt screening last week do you think a problem cane up with that ? I'm freaking out here x

I was classified high risk at 5 weeks pregnant because I have a heart condition and had to stop all of my medication because of the baby. Im 19w now and had all the testing done way before this point. It's never too early honestly if you've been classified high risk and it's better to know now than later! Everything is great with my little boy, my heart condition has affected his growth and development none, its mainly me they have been worried about! Ill be praying for you!!

I see the specialist when I'm 16 wks (I'm 14 now). (I had two m/c last year) Hoped to get in sooner but that was the next avail appt. Some ppl wait until 20 or even 32 wks to start looking at the placenta but I say can't hurt to start looking early!

I didn't book a midwife appointment untill I was 10 weeks because of previous losses I actually saw her on my 12th week to the day ! , thanks everyone for the helpful comments x

I see my obgyn every month and I started seeing my high risk doc since 16 weeks every 2 weeks cause of preterm labour problems
