Yeast Infection + Spotting -- Happy Post
I'm pregnant w my second and was terrified that I had the smallest spotting of brown blood at 12w5d. Never spotted before. Just saw baby healthy and happy on US 2 days before. Saw my Dr as a precaution. She said I had a bad yeast infection and my cervix was very irritated. Later that day I spotted pink. Went to ER. Baby is great, crevix closed, all good.
I share this story bc I crumpled in a pile of tears when I started spotting and couldn't be consoled. I had no idea that yeast infections can cause spotting and that is a common side effect. I'm on meds now to clear is up and not even on bed rest as my cervix was long and remained closed.
I prayed to god while in the ER that if my baby was ok I'd share my story to maybe ease the minds of other worried mommas. Always see your dr for spotting but know you might be ok. And if you have a YI get it cleared up as soon as you can so you don't have unnecessary tears.
