Braces since 2011...

So contrary to popular believe, my teeth were not that bad that I needed to have braces on for this long. Regardless, my dentist is giving me the option to finish up my last 6-12 months of braces on Invisalign cost-free since I've had them on for so long. Is it worth the trouble? I've always wanted to have that big reveal when I get my braces off, but if I decide to do this option I'll look like I got them off, but essentially I'm still wearing them. Does anyone have any personal experience with traditional vs Invisalign braces?
