Soraya. Pronounced like soh rai uh, just reminds me of psoriasis. So I'd personally avoid pronouncing it like that.

 I would go with Sur  it you want that pronunciation. Otherwise it will be a long life of always correcting.

Soraya is pretty but that spelling is prounced like "SO" like it's spelled. So it would be (SO-RYE AH) or (SO-RAY-AH) sounds Spanish. My sisters name is Sayora.

A family member of mine is named Sarai but we pronounce it: Sah-Rah-Ee. It's a beautiful name. I wanted to name one of our girls that but it's our family members name sooooo 😐

Might I add that my middle name is Surrey- which in England, the place I was named after, it's pronounced "Surr-E", but my mom decided to pronounce it "Sir-ay". Don't get me wrong, I much prefer the way my name is supposed to be said, but in no way do I think my mom spelled it right. I constantly get my middle named miss pronounced, and it bugs me to no end.
