Do drunks really not tell lies?

There's this guy I really like but I feel like I'm putting in all the effort to communicate with him so i doubted he reciprocated my feelings. But when he was in philly with his band he drunk texted me saying that he always thought I was pretty and cute but he's socially awkward so that's why he never approached me in person. He's also busy with school and his band and he's in the band at school and does side jobs as a musician so he's always busy. Needless to say he's hardly reached out to me since said drunk text night he just never has time to hang out or even text or call what do i do.
