Does your let down hurt?

I know not everyone can feel their let down happen but does anyone feel pain?   I can feel it in both breast when my baby is nursing but it's actually painful in the one that isn't being used wether it be left or right. Is this something I should bring up to my doctor or a lactation consultant?

I always feel mine... a sharp pain that lasts about 30 seconds

That's how mine is. Sometimes it's very mild and don't really notice, other times it's like a tingle/stinging feeling that lasts about 10 seconds. I've noticed letting my boob out during let down reduces the feeling a little though.

Im done breastfeeding my son, pregnant with #2, but I actually never felt letdowns till my son was around 4-5 months old. When they started it was a tight feeling, then needles all the way down to nipple. Only lasted like 5 seconds. But I had a fierce letdown, aka my milk would just shoot out my breats and totally soak everything, and my poor baby would choke because itd shoot to back of throat 🙄 Hope I dont have that problem with baby#2.

Anyway, its normal for letdowns to be painful. Obviously not if it hurts feeding them the whole time.

7 months in and my letdown is still this weird tingly feeling, sometimes it's almost painful. And I still leak from whichever boob isn't being nursed 😩 So ready for that to stop but I'm not expecting it to.

Mine is kind of a stinging sensation. At times if I am really full it can hurt a bit. I just gently press the unused breast to help stop the stinging. As for leaking, I always leak from the unused breast.

It doesn't hurt but it is kind of uncomfortable. It feels like needles pricking you in your breasts. Before I hated it now I am kind of immune to it. It doesn't affect me like before.

Mine doesn't hurt. It feels tingly and only last for a couple seconds
