When do you tell people?

Its traditional to keep it a secret until 12 weeks right? 
But when would you tell your close people like your mum and dad? I know I'd want mine to know early on in case I needed their support if something was wrong but when is that?

I told my mom when I found out, my dad when I was five months and everyone else when I was inviting them to my baby shower... I'm just a private person.

You should tell people whenever you feel comfortable letting them share your joy...

Whenever you want.  It is completely up to you when you tell people.  We always told everyone as soon as we knew. Because i figured if anything horrible happened Inwould grieve loudly, everyone should kmow why.

We told both sets of parents as soon as we knew, as well as our best friends. We were 4 weeks along at the time. We waited to share with everyone else at 9 weeks. I didn't feel like waiting the traditional 12 because I felt like I was holding my breath expecting something bad to happen instead of being hopeful. Plus I knew I would need the support if something happened.

I have had 9 PGs and only 2 are here woith me so I tent not to tell until after 20weeks. I have lost as far along as 18. I find it hard to tell and have to tell everyone I have lost another. It hurt everytime some asks how things are going when they havent been well.

I have epilepsy and a heart condition and ive always said when I do get my bfp I will only tell those whom ill need support off (my sister) at 12 weeks and everyone else at 24 weeks just to save them possible pain if I mc. But then again I have 14 nieces and nephews so its more a must than want for me

It depends because at 24 wks I'm huge so I could not hide it until then but I told close ones at 13 wks and friends at 20
