I'm currently on my "provera period" cycle day 7. I was on provera because I haven't had a period in 5 months. Now we are TTC and he puts me on provera for 15 days tells me to BD on cd10,12 and 14... but what makes him think I'm going to ovulate on my own? I'm so confused. I think it's time for a different doctor...

Google progesterone challenge test. This med is part of the anovulatory cycle work up. Ifyou pass the test aka get your period it givesyour body a chance to start a cycle fresh and hopefully ovulate on its own next time.

That's weird, my doctor told us to absolutely not BD at all while I was on Provera because it can cause fetal deformities 🤔
