disappointed

So just give some background im a recent graduate etc.. I'm 25 still looking for a job atm. Okay here we go I do not know what to do. As my parents and I are eating we see an elder guy driving a Corbett(fancy car sorry I am not good with car names) so I told my father well if I work hard enough I might get you one in the long run. However, they say they want a Ferrari instead. They told me I should aim for that type of car and it's expense but I told them I do not desire such a car. I want a 2007 Scion Cube (looks like a boot) and that's the car I will like. They started lecturing me saying I shouldn't be confirm with such a car and aim for something more expensive and luxury. They say I should aim to have better materialistic things than the rest and that will be a form of motivation. I am disappointed because being how I am they know I do not desire being compare to others or seeing other people's unfortunate  be my success.  All my life I feel I been compare constantly and I gave up on trying to change their perspectives. I'm sadden because I know for them I will be a disappointment.
