Can i take zyrtec or any other over the counter allergy pills while on birth control?

I need something for my allergy's or I become really bad and sick. However my boyfriend things I can't take zyrtec with my birth control and as I googled it I found no reason not to take it.

I think it's fine I was having really bad allergy problems and I asked my doctor about it and she prescribed me something while I was there. It's basically just a generic version of zyrtec I'm not completely sure about it because they might have some weird difference but maybe if you ask your doctor they'll give you the same as me or they can tell you what kinds are ok.
