thank you send outs ?

Question

I just had my shower yesterday and I was so thankful and just over filled with love by the guests we had , when you send out your thank you's do you add anything extra ? Idk if thank you notes being mailed
will be enough to say how thankful we are to everyone !

Whenever I sent out my thank you cards I made sure I thanked them for the specific gift they got me. An example of one for my my aunt who made me a diaper cake, stuffed shells, and also bought me my baby monitor on her card I put

"Dear (insert name here)

Thank you so much for the baby monitor, and making the cute diaper cake and delicious stuffed shells! I can't thank you enough for everything you've done. I appreciate it.

Love, Jess"

I just kept it specific to each person instead of just thanking them for the gift. I wanted them to know I remembered specifically what they got me for the baby!

I haven't had my shower yet, but I plan on just sending out personalized thank you cards. Also after baby is born, I plan on sending them a baby announcement in the mail. The only thing extra I'm doing is giving actual thank you gifts to my baby shower hosts.
