BC reduces sex drive ??

Ladies, am getting married soon and was thinking of starting BC pills.. not TTC for the next 3 to 4 years ... but I heard BC reduces sex drive ..is this true ? In that case is condoms better ?

I have an extremely high sex drive off the pill. Mine only went down slightly when I was on it, nothing very noticeable. Birth control just never mixed well with my hormones, the hormone free week was when I was least emotional.

It certainly reduced my sex drive. I had crazy emotional outbursts and mood swings... Completely gorge on food the week before my period and have extremely painful breasts the week of my period. This only started about 1 year after taking this pill though. Prior to that, I didn't have any issues. 
I was taking YAZ. 
You could always request a 'mini pill,' which has only one hormone as opposed to the combined pill with two. 
Each person is different though, you could take the pill and be perfectly fine with no reactions. I'd suggest the pill before an implanon or depo shot though, because if you have issues, it's easier to stop.

The pill did for me. But we are all different. If you want to wait a few years you'll definitely need something. Some people have better luck with Nuva ring or iud. Worth a chat with your doctor to find the best option for you.

Not for me at all. Made me have a better sex drive. I wasn't paranoid about a rash from condoms and the itchiness that comes with it for me, and I knew I was protected at all times because I took my pill every day before.

It depends on the exact pill and the individual. Any type of birth control can cause changes in sex drive. Sometimes it goes up, other times down, and other times it changes the time of the month when you feel friskiest.

I don't know if it's just me but birth control didn't make me feel any different. All my girl friends got hormonal, mood swings, low sex drive. And then there's me who felt no different. My sex drive is through the roof most days and it didn't seem to change. When I started taking anti-depressants i was told it would absolutely kill my sex drive. But nope it didn't.

I think it differs for different people.
