Depo shot

So I was on the depo provera shot for almost 5 full years. My last shot was in October 2014. Late January was when I finally got my period again but it was very light and only last two days. I didn't have anything in February and on the 10th I got my period again. This time only lasted a day and a little heavier but still light. I know my body has to get used to not having the shot, but does anyone have a similar experience with depo? My husband and I are ttc for our first baby and its hard to be excited when I can't track anything.
