Well... my ex-husband cheated on me and moved in with his mistress. The affair had apparently been a couple of months, but the news to me and moving all happened within a week. I'd taken a year off of medical school to have his baby and had been caring for his other son as a stay at home mom. It was brutal because I was not only cheated on and abandoned, I lost one of my children and was now a single mother about to re-enter medical school. Fast forward literally only a couple of months. My friend made me go out with her on NYE since I was being a hermit (well actually I was back in medical school and studying all the time and being a hermit). We were drinking (copiously) and she wanted to see the woman my ex had left me for. So I texted her and we met up with her (drunk logic) and we're standing by her at a bar. A really handsome man came up to say hi to her (he was her friend's ex) and we made eye contact and now I know love at first sight actually exists😍. We've been together every day since, he's wonderful to both me and my son, works hard with me to get along with my son's dad, and proposed to me on Mother's Day(!!!). I'm so thankful for everything I went through that literally led me to my fiancé. Good luck to you! I'm so excited that you get to fall in love hopefully in the near future ❤️

I fell wayyy hard for my first bf. Would've done anything. Then I met another guy who decided to take advantage of me on a really drunken New Years Eve. I couldn't trust anyone. I turned back to the old bf just because he was what I knew. I was used over and over but kept hoping for him to realize what he was missing. Then one night, I went out to a university kegger with some friends because we had just started university and well, who doesn't like keggers? Literally walked in the door, went and made myself a drink, this guy came walking out of the bathroom with this beautiful smile. Flashforward 10 years later, my now husband. The moment he put his arms around me, I felt safe. He knew I was broken and let me choose when I was ready. He probably saved my life.

Thought I met the one a few years back... but so glad he wasn't! I've got an amazing husband and family now! Better than I could have dreamed! It'll hurt for some time, and that's ok to feel that pain, but know that you'll find someone even better! (Pretty sure the grieving process is quite the same as loosing someone)
