Angry vagina

Sorry for the TMI but the internet is leading me no where. So about the 3rd week of may I suddenly started experiencing vaginal irritation, and itching, pain during sex etc. So my husband and I stopped having sex, I started wearing cotton granny panties, babying myself when it came to wiping and washing only with baby soap. Cleared up after about a week. Started having sex again, wearing sexy panties again going about my normal life absolutely no problems for almost 2 weeks. We went to a public swimming pool last Saturday and that night I started experiencing the same irritated stinging and slight itching very mild I figured it was just the chlorine from the pool. My husband and I had sex Sunday no problems, we had sex again Monday and I felt like I had rugburn after and the same Tuesday and Wednesday. Now all day today I have been experiencing stinging and itching very mild all day, sometimes it stings when i pee and I took a shower washed my lady bits with my regular soap and it started stinging and feeling really irritated and now it stings everytime I pee. So now I'm wondering, could this be a yeast infection? Should I get some over the counter medicine and cream to be safe? Has anyone else expirenced these symptoms?? It honestly feels like someone gave me a rugburn after sex then it turns into mild stinging and itching. No discharge or smell. Help a girl out!
