Tubal recovery question...

My baby is 8 weeks old and I had a tubal ligation done 2 days ago. The Dr said I would have some slight bleeding. To me slight bleeding would be spotting or maybe a little more. My bleeding is about like a period and the blood started out like brown spotting and now is red and I now have to wear a pad instead of a pantyliner. I also had something come out of me that looked like a small string of grayish matter. Could anyone who has had a tubal let me know how much they bled, how long and if they had any weird discharge?
