Me and my husband were supposed to have our gender reveal party tomorrow and now he's backing up saying all we have to do is get a pink cake and that's it! He already told his friends even tho I said I wanted to wait until tomorrow after we tell our families first . It's our first daughter together and I have a daughter from a previous relationship where I wasn't allow to have a baby shower or gender reveal bc her father was too controlling and too cheap ! I'm really upset bc I've been planning since I found out and I wanted to do something nice and get some pictures... he also said it's stupid to have a baby shower and gender reveal so he only invited his family for tomorrow and told me we can have a regular baby shower that his mom wants to throw it. I'm not ungrateful but I know his mom don't have the money to do that bc she's constantly borrowing money from him and I told him I'd rather do it myself bc I want to do something nice. I'm very crafty and I've made food for all the parties we've had so we wouldnt spend too much but he's insisting that he don't want to spend anything and rather have his mom doing it ! I don't know what to do or what to say, my family lives in another state and won't be here for any of that and I don't have that many friends either. He doesn't see that I want to do it for us, so we can show our daughter in the future, it's also basically for his family and friends too 😑 how can I talk to him and change this ? 😭😭😭 my hormones are not helping and I want to cry
